Eugene Water & Electric Board, Roosevelt Operations Center

This new electric and operations facility was constructed on a 55 acre site and houses 275 employees, a warehouse, vehicle shop, vehicle storage facility and materials storage yard. The LEED Gold certified project was subject to the new Oregon Department of Energy bill requiring 1.5 percent of public construction costs to be allocated to solar energy. It also incorporated solar water heating, an Eco Machine for treating wastewater onsite, photovoltaic energy and extensive daylighting.
